As an movie itself, an action movie it works. It reference to the book it is an adaption thereof, I found it deleted the mysticism, time passing, and scope of the book in favor of sensationalism and action.

So many moving parts. I feel this should have felt more like the sweeping epic it was, but I just thought it was fine. Just so much going on, that nothing really gets sussed out… which is weird for a 2:45 movie.
